REAL FLOW
Jan Vorisek (*1987) belongs to the youngest generation of artists and is currently enrolled at ZHdK (Zurich University of Arts). He explores the specific visual language of digital photography and reflects contemporary surfaces.
Jan Vorisek examines digital manipulation, the range of effects whose aesthetics increasingly shape our media-saturated environment. As a starting point for his installation he used photos and videos of water surfaces whose colors and structures that he digitally manipulated, thus paradoxically intertwining naturalness and artifice. The source of light in the room is a beamer, whose light beam is in turn reflected by sheets of perspex. A collage of distorted music tracks accompanies the installation.
