Dijan Kahrimanovic (third semester – Untitled, 2011) takes his own body as his material. Having suffered a serious accident, he now bears its physical marks. Step by step, his work examines the effects of the accident itself and of time passing; he photographs his skin and his scars, which are beautiful and ugly at one and the same time. It is an attempt to reproduce his own self, piece by piece, yielding images where the artist recognises himself in various forms. He imprints his body in colour onto prepared sheets, so that he himself becomes a "negative", creating new images.
