Oliver Wüest (graduated 2011 – spurlos verbunden [vanished without a trace], 2011) recreates figures from Greek mythology in photographs. The pictures yield modern interpretations of classical myth, tracing lines between history and the present. These subtly allusive portraits are complemented by still lives, for instance of a burned book showing the picture of a ship. Taken together, the images constitute a complex semiotic system citing past times and present events in a personal way.
